HK usp

Took my USP 9mm Tactical, which I received this week, and my USP 45 Tactical to the range today. Surprise! I did better with the 45. The trigger on the 45 seemed lighter. Probably the trigger on the 9mm will lighten some after use.

I don't know what the deal with the match triggers is. I have 4 of them; 3 from the factory, and one I installed in my USPc 9mm. The weights are all over the place.

The Match 9mm is by far the best, only ~3.5lbs. The 9mm Elite is next, about 4lbs. The USP Tactical 45 and Compact are about 4.5lbs. All are equally crisp and I like them all, but it's strange that the same components have such different pull weights. (The heaviest USP Tactical is the most broken-in of the group, by the way, so if anything, it should be lighter.)

I prefer the USP in 9 and 40. The 45 is a bit chunky in the grip.

I agree with this assessment. The .40 is a "perfect" fit for this size HK platform. Anything much bigger is too big for me. If I want a pistol chambered in .45 ACP, I prefer the 1911 or even a SIG Model 220. All personal preference, of course, in terms of how the pistol "feels", handles and shoots for the individual shooter.

Love my USP 45. Way too big to conceal, but that's not what I bought it for. It's my home/range gun and open carry holstered zombie gun.

It is also (by design) a soft shooting gun. Makes .45 a pussycat.
