Hk P7m8

Ken...

Your P7 is beautiful! Thanks for posting the pictures. I took your advice and purchased a Sebenza for a pocket knife and I think I'll take your advice again and buy a P7. However, for some reason, I did think that HK already had a hard chrome model for sale. Or maybe one of those "HE" (I think) finishes. (Harsh Enviornment-Isn't that what it's called?)
You've got expensive tastes buddy, but you're right about pocket knives and pistols!

The HE is for Hostile Environment and it is a coating put under the black finish....it protects the metal even if the outer caot wears off...they don't make it for the P7..too bad, I like my chrome but would prefer a black gun that didn't wear easy....

P7 engineering

The picture of the gripless P7 shows the incredible level of engineering and attention to detail in the weapon. If that's not enough, the magazine followers are metal and ride inside rails
in the magazine tube -- I've never seen such sophisticated and well designed magazines in any other handgun. Definitely an engineering marvel!

When I think of a finely engineered German pistol only one comes to mind and thats the HK P7/M8,M13.

Not the Sig P210, P2XX, not the Luger, nor any Walther.

I had the pleasure to shoot a P7/M8 last year. It was a beat up old rental that had seen its better days but the gun was still tight and its 9mm rounds shot out like lasers. I've never handled a more solid feeling gun nor a pistol that points so naturally than the P7. Unfortunately I don't like the squeeze cocking mechanism for defense work.

I always thought it should have been James Bonds' replacement for his PPK.

A very cool pistol.
