HK 45C - back from Blown Deadline Cerakote

No, the person who took it and posted it years and years ago stated itw as indeed orange. And, this is back from like 2005 or 06. Not a lot of FDE guns back then anyway.

Interesting. The gun def. isn't from 05/06. It's from 1997 - KI date code.

According to the OP of your pic, it's just a duracoat/cerakote job made to look like a grey room gun that is supposed to be there. I can't find any pics of the supposed original though.

Oh well. Might be a fun project! You should get it done even brighter in safety orange!

Yea I always sort of smile at the FDE/sand colors that companies come out with as they don't really match my neck of the woods at all.

They do for me :)

Thanks for the link to the original post. I saved the pic years ago. I thought it was the pic of the actual gun.

Anyway, it is something I am considering. The USP 9mm will be in my hands Monday.

I think the orange looks cool.

I think it looks decent, should be a pretty effective form of camouflage too.

We can always count on you Uncle Malice to supply us with good pictures of your interesting projects.

Thanks :)

Different strokes for different folks. Not for me.

That said, it looks like a high quality product for a high quality gun.

Have fun with it!

It looks nice, has a "been there, done that" look.
And wear will simply accentuate the finish!
I'd be a little afraid of this, though... if it DOESN'T wear the right way, it could really look strange. Shiny rub spots from a holster, wear on slide edges,etc- hope they don't look obviously different.
