Hindsight - should Glock have listened to its customers

Nobody who owns a Glock (before the 43 came out) owns one for single-stack capability.
They all own one because of the double-stack full-capacity mags.
The only ones who don't have 33-rd mags already, are the ones who live in states that won't allow them.

Thank God I live in the Southern USA, where we can have the 100-rd DRUM MAG if we feel like it.
If you want to pony up the cash & get the licenses, a full-auto Glock 18 can be had...

Someone might ask, Why?
To which I'd answer, Why not?? Its FUN!
Heck, I thought I'd gotten enough of Big Mags & Full Auto in the Army,
but as soon as they signed the AWB, suddenly I wanted some, and wasn't allowed to have 'em...
as soon as it sunsetted, guess what I went & got?? A Danged Big Mag Glock 20!
Ya want Full Auto rock & Roll?? Go rent a Glock-18 or M-60 at the range & party on!!
If you are patient & have lotsa cash, get the licenses and buy what you want!!

Ted Nugent is, and always has been right about Guns.

I wouldn't mind a Glock 43 and I carry a Glock 19. Guess "nobody" isn't the right term. For that matter I don't own 33 rd mags. I make do with 15 and 17 rders. I can drive to the store and buy them right now but I don't want to. I have zero issue with people owning them however.

Thank God I live in Northern USA where I have just as many rights as people in the south who are often ignorant of the laws in other states and love to make blanket statements without having the requisite knowledge.

As long as they don't lose money, why not make it?

People want single-stack 9x19mm pistols, and many people like/prefer Glocks. It only makes sense to make them, if there are buyers.

All I'm saying Glock is going down the route of Sig with this lineup...soon you can buy a rainbow tribal scorpion extreme g43
Wait, you say that like its a bad thing. I would totally buy a rainbow tribal scorpion extreme g43. :p :D

Why?

In the mid-2000s, John Farnam told a bunch of us that he specifically asked Gaston for a slim 9. Gaston was not interested as he felt that his market were the bigger sized police and military customers. Also, mag compatibility was important to him.

Well, I image the market success of 380s and slim nines changed his mind as he probably got told such by the company experts. CCW and competition are important. Some who shoots a 34 might buy 26 for carry and I think some surveys show that

If I were Glock, I would have introduced the 9mm before the .380. I also would have introduced the dang thing ten years ago. I think timing the introduction AFTER so many other options (Shield, etc) have become available will hurt sales somewhat in the long run. That said, I'm sure the G43 will be very successful and have no worries about Glock not being able to pay the electric bill this month.
