Higher learning rag slams Guns

I graduated from two Universities in Texas with a BS from UT Austin and an MS from UT Arlington. They definitely have a more conservative culture than say an Ivy League school such as Harvard or Yale. Harvard has contacted Hillary Clinton about the possibility of being their next president depending upon her outcome of the NY Senate race if you can believe it.

I think a lot of it depends upon the academic courses of study a person majors in. For example, Journalism and Law schools tend to attract the left wheras Science and Business schools tended to attract more conservatives. I remember while at UT Austin I had several foreign professors and teaching assistants with rather bizzare world views that they were eager to discuss with students.

Masters and PHDs asside - you guys have obviously traveled different paths and have met different people than I.
For all those PHDs i have personally run across - 90% of them are very closed minded and consider differing opinions as lack of IQ.

Sorry if I offended any TFL members here - as that was not the point of my post.

Perhaps, today I lifted weights with two Ph.D. shooting buddies. One owns a place in the Hill Country where we hunt and drink Shiner.

This morning, as English Ph.D. who was also some kind of bullseye champ for the Army called me to go to the range.

No offense taken - ;)
