Be aware that, out there somewhere is an unknown number of excellent pistols which, while imported and sold by Heritage, were made by Pieta in Italy and were marked "Rough Rider".
These appear to be better quality than the current made in USA Heritage guns, and were priced accordingly.
You're not likely to find one for under $200.00 at any rate. The going price seems to hover around twice that when they turn up.
I have two of them, one in .45Colt and one in .22lr. They are very well made, accurate, and will be passed down to my grandkids.
I've never owned one of the new USA-made Heritage guns, but the general concensus seems to be that people feel they have gotten at least what they paid for.
