Here's an unusual situation...bowling?

Ex wife of man is in bowling alley small town Iowa, not quite divorced yet, ex hubby comes in .44 mag rifle in hand. Blows away ex wife and her boyfriend.

Happend as that. I stay outta bowling alleys :( was 2 years ago.

What the heck can you do in said situation? Hard to duck and cover in a place as that, wide open and all.

51% rule..

In Texas there is a law that says no ccw in a place of business that does 51% or better in alcohol sales. This is iffy when considering many eating places but not iffy when you consider bowling centers. Around here they get $5 for a beer and they do sell a lot of it during the course of an evening of league bowling.

In the so-called antigun north east NH stands above most other CCW states around the country as we do not have any law against carring in anyplace that serve alcohol.

In Florida, the law states that you can carry in a business that sells alcohol as long as you meet two criteria:

1. The bar/lounge area is clearly marked, and separated from the main establishment.

2. You do not enter the bar whilst armed.

Most bowling alleys I've ever been to have the bar in a separate room, complete with a door. That would work here.

I would say to consult the local laws, but if it's legal, to carry inside. Personally, I wouldn't bowl carrying a gun, but then again, I'm a terrible bowler. Eventually I give up and granny bowl, and I am certain my gun would be exposed then :D.

I never bowled as a ccw'er in va for that reason. If I had I would have used an "administrative" Holster and demurred to any questions concerning my official status.

I would say your best bet is a galco club fed paddleback and a service pistol of some sort. If I were a thief looking to steal handguns in VA, cars outside restaurants and bowling alleys would be my beat.

So I have to say - leave it home well secured or carry openly. Me I would wear it like I said above.
