At one time and in some places still, the BG will take whatever he can get, usually the cheapest available on the street corner market. In the past few years, the guys with drug money burning holes in their pockets have been getting more selective. They read Guns and Ammo and other magazines and talk guns just like us GGs except that they aren't going to shoot paper targets. They even have the guns they want stolen to order if they can. The old junk is being replaced by good quality weapons. This is especially true in Maryland, where the previous Governor got a "Saturday Night Special" law passed to get the "cheap, dangerous, guns off the streets." He succeeded. Where you once read about BGs guns misfiring and a cop's life being saved, now you read about a murder. And the "cop killer" governor got elected Comptroller, where he can get his hands on big money.
