Help with pistol decision.

To attempt to sooth my anger over the SD fiasco I looked around today and found 6 handguns I consider good deals. 2 are revolvers but the rest are semi auto and all are in good condition . They are as follows.

1. Smith & Wesson 12-2 .38 Special Airweight $300.00
2. Taurus PT92C 9mm $300.00
3. Springfield Armory Loaded 1911 .45 acp w/ 4 mags $500.00
4. Charter Arms Bulldog w/ Crimson Trace grips .44 Special $280.00
5. Glock 19 9mm $425.00
6. CZ P07 9mm $350.00

Please cast your votes.

I don't think too many people will put any of these other choices over the Glock 19 for SD, or carry purposes. It will do everything as good or better than the others, is a proven design/manufactuer, and has loads of support in any gunstore. Plus 9mm is cheaper to buy and practice with than .38 special, .45acp & .44 special. Whats not to like?

Definately the G19.

CZ would be my pick. I just never found a Glock that fits and points like I think it ought to, but it would be as nice as the Springfield on the range.

The Springfield is an outstanding choice in my opinion, but it will get big, heavy, and bothersome to carry if you decide to go that route. Same with the Taurus PT92.

The S&W qualifies as a easy carry belly gun that leaves you limited on fun at the range- wont be stretching shots out very far with good results.

The Charter Arms- expensive and difficult to find ammo. And I am still of the opinion that they are a product which is/was meant to be carried a lot and shot only a little.

springfield loaded goes for +/- 800$ if you can find one. It is the best deal. For carry purposes, the glock or the smith is the choice. The cz is also a great deal on a great gun, I dont know how heavy the p07 is all other czs ive dealt with were heavy guns.

Springfield all the way. I veer from the pack and would go charter arms 44 spcl next but if you want a 9 than CZ.

My choice would be the springfield 1911. I love those 1911s! But does it matter if you have a gun with a safety or without? Also some 1911s are picky eaters. If that's a concern I'd have to go with the glock.

I would go to a gun shop with a good variety and see what fits you best.
If it were me, I would go with the Glock as my first choice, and the CZ as my second choice.

While I would buy none of them, the PT-92 would be my personal pick. I don't like polymer guns and the Charter, well, there are a lot of revolvers I would pick over it, and they are all used.

I love a good 1911, but that Springfield can be a bit big for every day CCW. Out of the rest, the Glock or the S&W Airweight would be good guns for both CCW and home defense.

I think for the money that Springfield 1911 loaded sounds like a very good buy. Then again, looking at your list for a 2nd time, they all seem like good buys.

S&W Model 12-2 is light,6 rounds,and easy to pocket carry.Mine get's carried a lot,And that's a good price.I thought I got a good deal at $350.00 for mine.

Second I would pick the SA 1911 Loaded, that's also a great price.

I keep reading and hearing people say that the 1911 is going to be too big, bulky and heavy for carry.

I'd like to know why people say and type this... I CCW a 1911 every waking moment of every day. I do so in jeans, khakis, shorts and even jogging shorts! I've worn something as simple as a t-shirt over a tank top on top to as elaborate as a full blown tux. Frankly I don't find the 1911 very bulky or heavy when it comes to carry...

Even on the hottest days thus far this summer I've given my pocket guns a casual glance then ended up putting on the 1911 anyway!

Anyway if you can get a Springfield loaded 1911 for that price be quick about it and snatch it up! That'll be your best bet there.
