My girlfriend has to design a political billboard for her graphic design class. I have convinced her to go with a pro-gun theme. We need a good pro gun slogan. Any suggestions?

I have been down that road, I did a 3 page paper and class demonstration on the 2nd...after I had to jump through numerous hoops to get the grade I deserved...If she feels strongly enough to defend it then do it.

By the way: Instructor was wife of commie jerk! :)

at least I thought so at the time...:D

Maybe something along the lines of a little old lady with a revolver in her purse kind of thing. Stress how she cannot defend herself without her gun and would be a walking target to bad guys.

Or a pic of a young mother with small children saying how thanks to her right to own a handgun her children are stil alive.

Just find some way to pull on people's heartstrings. It works alot better than trying to beat them over the head with the 2A.
 
When a left wing liberal meets with an argument "it" can't deny...

"It" denies the argument ever existed...

If "it" can't win an argument on the subject that's on the table... "it" will change the subject with a total lack of recognition that you made a point...

Example;
When guns are outlawed... only outlaws will have guns.

Prove this hypothesis by stating any of these irrefutable facts and then observe the evasive action or the lack of action or the complete change of the point you just made!!!!

Tell your girlfriend that in the defense of freedom and un-infringed personal gun ownership... She has my leave to use any word or phrase or any part or all of this post... and good luck... ;)

As an academic, I would second TPAW's warning. Unfortunately, much of academia is about learning to say the right things - or not to say the 'wrong' things. If she wants a good grade, she should probably find another topic.
 
Or how our nations capitol Washington DC has the worst violent crime rate in the entire country and is the only one with a ban on all types of firearms, Which frisco will soon learn banning firearms isnt the answer also.

She should be respected by the instructor for doing what she feels is right, regardless of how he feels. Can never say for sure though. How strongly does she feel about pro gun?

hi, this is Renee, Ian's girlfriend. Thank you for all of your replies. They are very helpfull. I'm not sure if my teacher is pro or against guns and either way, I definetly want to do my project on this theme (I'm pretty sure I will get a good grade anyway because my graphics are going to be incredible). I was hoping someone could help me out with just an awesom slogan. For example...my classmate did hers on anti-abortion and her slogan was:

77% of anti-abortion leaders are MEN
100% of them will never get pregnant.
It's your body. It's your decision.
Prochoice or no choice.

I want a strong statement like that for this billboard ad...only about pro-guns. Can anyone help? Thanks again for all of your help!
 
Two Bumper Stickers I Have Seen....

"A man [person] with a gun is a citizen...a man [person] without a gun is a subject."

"Society is safer when criminals don't know who is armed."

You could stick with the same idea:

XX% of murder victims had firearms. (probably very low)
0% of them will have a second chance.

etc.

my favorite is

I did a paper a while back and that was the title. I saw it on a bumbersticker.
