You can't have my FG Mak, but you might still find the next best, which
is the Bulgarian Mak for $125 or so in Shotgun News.

Listen to lendringser re: the P232.

Having owned both the PPK/s and P230 and shot many other examples of each, I can say that you won't be disappointed in the SIG.

It works...consistently...with anything you want to feed it.

I would probably own the Sig already if it were chambered in 9x18 or .32.

By the way, for all those folks asking if a .45 is "harder to shoot," I can shoot my 1911 all day long and ten times as accurately as my current 9x18 pistol. Man, those things can sting after a while.

I have three recommendations for you:

1) Bersa Thunder 380
2) Bersa Thunder 380
3) Bersa Thunder 380

Mark my word: Bersas are the next Glocks.

Back in 1980, if someone had mentioned Glock as a good choice for a 9mm gun, most people would have said "A whaaat?", like that dumb guy in the movie "Jaws" who had never heard of a tiger shark. Look at Glock now---a billion-dollar industry based on quality and renown.

The 1980 Glock---that's Bersa today.

Ah, but soon Bersa's management will realize their own worth, and then their prices are going to sky-rocket. Better get one now (or better yet, a dozen) while they're still relatively cheap. You won't regret it.

My suggestion: look for a Manurhin. They are quality guns, made under Walther license, but unfortunately no longer imported.

Authentic? and another vote for Kahr!

If you are looking for an authentic 007 gun, it should be the genuine Walther PPK (not PPK/S) in .32 (not .380) and in blue steel (not stainless). And currently Walther doesn't make that configuration so you would have to buy it used. Now, that being said, I have to agree with a couple of others who mentioned the Kahr pistols. I would take a Kahr K9 Elite 98 or MK9 Elite 98 9mm over any other pistol mentioned. Smaller...better sights...more accurate...more reliable...better warranty...less recoil...more powerful...need I say more?????????????????????????????
