Help me find this rifle?

Hey guys, I'm new. I saw a rifle a year or so ago in a little shop at a clay range that I thought was pretty unique, and at the time I didn't think to look up the make or model. I've tried looking it up on the internet with no luck, so I thought I'd come ask some folks who have more knowledge on the subject than I do.
I don't know all the technical terms, so bear with me here. It looked very similiar to this -

The only difference was that it had a wooden stock and instead of being bolt action it had a clip that went into the grip, like you would see on a semi-auto pistol. I can't remember if it was camouflaged or if that was just the wood grain on it, but I want to say it was wooden.
Thanks in advance for any help, dbaze.

Hey guys! I saw a car the other day. It was red. What was it?
Not trying to be offensive, but that's about what you asked.

Not bolt action. OK, so what was it? semi auto, single shot, pump, lever action????

A magazine went into the pistol grip. OK, so what kind of magazine? What was the chambering of the rifle? Rifle cartridge or pistol cartridge?

Did it look like this??

C'mon, help us out here.

Scorch -
None taken, but I am pretty new at this. It looked similar to the cx4, but less tactical (if that's even the right way to describe it) and more for hunting. 29" is about the right length. The main difference was that the forestock was shorter, and it didn't cover the top of the barrel. I would guess that it was a .22, however I'm no expert. It was definitely semi auto. Like I said I'm new, so what do you mean by chambering? I don't know whether it was a pistol or rifle cartridge. To be honest I held it for like 1 minute when I was 17, and I'm only 19 now. I thought it was a really cool gun (still do) and I've thought about it alot ever since haha.

I'm sorry if I'm being vague, but I'm doing the best I can.

rickyrick-
nope, I looked at their website. none of their rifles looked like it. The stock of the gun connected to the bottom of the pistol grip, like in the picture. Thank you for trying though.

I have an image in my head of what youre talking about, and im picturing a firearm where the stock is attached to the grip with a half-circle. I dont remember what this is, and cant find it with google fu. I feel like it may be an air gun or possibly a .22.

Hope the half-circle part is a good clue to you or others.

EDIT- Nice, I'm Psychic!!! that was exactly what i was talking about^^^

I agree, hi point

A hi point 995. That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the picture. Check these out.

It is a PITA to takedown to clean/lube, but for a $150 carbine I just snake it after every range session and do a proper cleaning if it fails. Wish the mag held more than 10...

Happy searching!

I appreciate all the responses. Everything y'all have suggested has been close, but not quite right. The browning buck mark is the closest thing I've found, but I can't find anywhere that sells stock upgrades for it. I thought it might be an upgraded rueger 10/22, but the magazine for that is in front of the trigger. Plus this was a very small shop, and they didnt seem like a place that would sell upgraded guns.
