Help me decide on a 9mm...

Don't let the looks fool you...

If the looks of the CZ 75B are a concern you might check out the CZ USA website. I have th 75B SA which is an improved version of the 75b with a single action trigger and many cosmetic and ergonomic alterations.

If you are thinking of going polymer the p99s are really nice.

Buy one of each!:D

There is much merit in the suggestion that you just trade for the 9mm Beretta 92G Elite II. You already have the holster(s) and magazine carrier(s) for this model if you have them for the 96, so you save all that money. Okay, you just spend all that money on ammunition!:D

Can't really go wrong with any of your options. I vote for the P99. I have one and I love it. Light, accurate, adjustable grips and front sights, great package. Right now the price is good too(at least stateside, about $470-$500).

BHP or CZ 75, also that new CZ 75 sa single action looks wicked cool. I also very much like the 226, but they are awfully pricey.

There is a P220 (not P226) available in 9mm for about the same price as the CZ75 at the shop (so they say), and the P99 is about the same price as the P226. Does anyone have any stories about the P220 in 9mm, or the P220 in general? I've heard some strange stories about the P220 in anything but .45, but I'd like to hear how it holds up to higher pressure cartridges.

Also, how durable is the P99? I haven't found much literature on it.

Get Another Beretta

You have had one of the Best Semi Auto's.

I would recommend the Beretta 92FS Inox or blued.

bokchoi, i have a p-99 and highly recomend them. so far i have shot about 5k+ rounds through it and haven't had any real issues. the only time that i've had a stovepipe was due to user error. never had a FTF, or FTE. you'll like the adjustable backstraps.

Canadians

Seems to me the H&K P7M8 was designed specifically to get around Canada's 4" rule... (too bad it was designed in the 70's).

As compact as many of the 3.5" barreled guns, but with a 4.13" barrel (Canada legal by millimeters).

Low bore axis, accuracy exceeded only by the Sig P210. Single action every shot too due to the squeeze cocker.
