Think of a Glock 27!

Think of a Glock 27! Why? If you are going to have only one handgun pick the one that does most. The
Glock 27 is small but will shoot with full sized pistols. So you need more firepower? Use Glock 23
magazines and an A&G Adapter, you will think you are shooting a Glock 23. Tired of the 40 S&W? Buy a 357 Sig barrel and let them rip. Now you are recoil sensitive? Buy a Glock 26 barrel, some Model 26 magazines. You now have a Model 26. Still need a 9 mm which holds more ammo? Buy some Glock 19 magazines and A&G Adapters. This is the most versatile handgun I know of. Regards, Richard

For me, the ergonomics of the SigSauer P239 are kinda flaky, and the USP Compact is too bulky, and if you aren't going to carry it often the verdict is Glock 19. But wow, all of those are great choices. Tomorrow I might change my mind. :D

Well, I think I've decided...

Thanks for your comments, everyone. They were very helpful. I finally went to the range today and tried all of the guns mentioned in my original post.

I'm going for the G26. I shot it the best out of all of them and the short grip wasn't a problem at all. It surprised me that I seemed to be more accurate with it than with the larger G19 or G17. I also liked the feel of the HK USP Compact a lot, but all things considered, the G26 is a better choice for me.

Now I have to decide on what options to add to it! (night sights, pearce extender, hi-cap mag, larger slide release lever, etc.). Decisions, decisions ;)

If you haven't tried the sig p228, then you owe it to yourself to try that before buying that glock thing. :)
