Help for Iver Johnson 38 hammerless

I was just doing some research for my nephew who came across an exceptional example of a break-top Iver in 38 S&W. The guy who wrote 2 books on them and has all the old factory records and such dating back to the 1800's posts on the firearmsforum.com under the name " b.goforth ".His posts date back a few years, so I don't know if he's still active there, but he's answered lots of questions there and you can order his books too, I would assume.

You can still order his books ( and I can recommend them ) but you are not going to converse with Mr. Goforth { bgoforth }. Bill was one of the good guys but he passed away a couple of years ago.:(

Sorry to hear that. The possibility did cross my mind. I'm glad he was able to pass on so much knowledge in his time. A lot of info would have been lost had it not been for his interest and efforts to preserve it.
I could tell by the tone of his responses that he not only liked guns, but also people.
