Help deciding on a new Pump 12 ga shotgun

Removable chokes are next to useless on a dedicated fightsman's shotgun. One more thing to go wrong/unscrew and don't work well with slugs or tactibuck.

The old 37s fantastic, the disconnect system, hold the trigger back, and pump! Machine gun.
I bought a new Ithica 37, sent it back, a new one replaced. Sent it back also.

For new defensive pump shotguns, I believe this list begins and ends with a variant of the 590. My personal favorite is the 18" M590A1. I own one, and while it is a simple, no-frills gun, it is excellent.

I just don't trust new Remingtons these days - even the Police variants. That said, an older trade-in 870P is still an excellent choice.

One thing I miss about Canada. My 870 Pump 14" barrel. My 18.5" seems like a duck gun!

But my $87.00 ex Sherrif Dept's Mossy, takes 6 rounds. I adorned the butt with SECURITY on both sides, in 1" white letters. Only got to use it on one job, a Jewellery Store.

A show stopper. I still, have my plastic card permission for that.
