Hello to all.

Welcome Fish

Welcome capnrik

This is a great forum to share and learn.

Do check out the Lawdog Files and the Adventures of FUD.
Caution: FUD's adventures exceed one thousand (yes, 1000) posts. The alligator attack, however, is a most invigorating read.

Due to a rebellious contingent, who could not stay on topic, a sister site has been established for those who deign to not color within the lines.
Check out: The Range House for bread recipes, weather reports, and other acts of sedition.
You will find a link in the General Discussion Forum under, "you want off topic posts? i'll give you off topic posts!" by Mike Irwin

Hi Fish, capnrik. Welcome...

I have a question Fish. How do you think you're going to react to the New Assault Weapon Registration/Confiscation in Cali?

Your actions as a Fed. Law Enfrocement Agent is of much interest.

"[Even if there would be] few tears shed if and when the Second Amendment is held to guarantee nothing more than the state National Guard, this would simply show that the Founders were right when they feared that some future generation might wish to abandon liberties that they considered essential, and so sought to protect those liberties in a Bill of Rights. We may tolerate the abridgement of property rights and the elimination of a right to bear arms; but we should not pretend that these are not reductions of rights." -- Justice Scalia 1998

Welcome guys. I think you'll like it here. Flames are not tolerated (trust me, i KNOW), and the discussions are fascinating.

And Fish, you are an LEO in SoKal?

Eeeeewwwwwwwwwww...... ;)

USP45,

I do not look forward to Jan 1, 2001. It is going to break my heart to see it come. Every class I have attended in the past few months has accentuated this as well as other miscellaneous balderdash that will be specific to Kali in Jan. I can only say, please follow the law and VOTE!!!!!!!!!!! Send those who desire to disarm you home and elect a person who understands what the constitution stands for.
Please don’t give these politicians any more ammo than they already have. I sold an HK-91 to my father last year because I felt that this was coming and if it goes further I’ll sell all my personal weapons to him as well, he lives in the Southeast USA.

You know I can’t take any “assault” weapons I am issued home with me anymore… I have an MP-5 issued to me, but it stays in our tactical unit. When I was in Atlanta for a short time we could carry our entire gear home with us. But not here, might offend the politico’s…

I will have to register my personal weapons just as you will. But on Nov 7, 2000 I will be in line to vote.

That is one thing I hate about California is the inflexible draconian gun control laws we have and the others, which lay in waiting for another vote in the house of reps.
