Hello Fans, We realize that the announcement we made today will generate a lot of questions. Due to legal reasons, we cannot get into specifics quite yet, however we know there will be a few consistent questions that we want to answer. Below are the FAQs regarding this announcement:
Q - Will this become vaporware?
A –We certainly hope not. A tremendous amount of effort, time and money has gone into the idea, concept, design and prototyping of this unique pistol. We are actively pursuing sources to provide us with the manufacturing resources we need to get this pistol on the market.
Q - What about my order? What will happen to that?
A – We are currently working with our distributors to honor current orders with their retailers.
Q - I pre-paid for my order – how do I get my money back?
A – Contact the dealer in which you pre-paid to cancel your order and receive your refund.
Q - Will these guns ever be available?
A – Yes, we are bound and determined to make the DoubleTap a viable pistol line on the US market.
Q - When will distribution now happen?
A – As soon as we have secured a manufacturer, we will have a better idea of the delivery dates.
Q - Will both calibers and all variations (metal, ported) be available in quantities to fill all pre-orders? If not which variation of the guns ship first?
A – That is our goal to be able to fill all pre-orders. Initial stock was to be the aluminum ported .45 ACP pistol.
Q - You said it would ship in October, now that is not happening. The date has been pushed back several times. Why should we believe you anymore?
A- Our delivery goal was a realistic goal determined by the course of design, development and manufacturing. Unfortunately our manufacturer was unable to deliver actual product on the time table we had created. This inability to produce product in a timely manner made us pull the plug on this facility and begin to search for a facility that will deliver upon its contractual promises.
Q - Are you going to keep the name of the white gun “Hedy Jane”?
A – At this time, the name of the Hedy Jane is not a priority. Getting the guns manufactured is. We’ll keep you posted.
