He Turned In His Sig/Sauer

It's obvious to me the guy was trying to do the right thing. He's got some severe mental problem and certainly should not be in control of a Sig. All he did wrong was disposing of it in an incorrect manner.

He certainly should not be allowed to have another fine piece of equipment and must be carefully watched at all times as his mental problem could worsen and he might be tempted to dispose of a BHP or worse an AR-15.

24/7 survellience needs to be imposed.

The guy's a prime example of your typical left wing, brainwashed Bliss Ninny. "Ahhh, it'll never happen to me..."

And when someone like that says, "Well, the odds are that criminals are not going to attack me and my family, anyway," I would ask, "Well, the long odds are that your house is never going to burn down either. Why don't you cancel your fire insurance and save a helluva lotta money??"

Afterall, it's certainly true that no one ever needs a gun for self defense, anyway....until you need it that one time. Then, there is nothing in your life that you ever needed MORE!

Jay:

You have it mostly right... just need to add.... for one individual the odds of criminal attack are slim.... as the number of people increase so do the odds of one of those individuals being attacked... the more citizens that have guns, the better the odds that the criminal will run into one who does. The moral of the story is.... for the safety of all... all should be armed and trained in their use.

The debate is not about guns,
but rather who has the ultimate power to rule,
the People or Government.
