Hardest kicking load? 3"

it is usually the gun not the load that makes it hurt.

I have shot 1 3/8 loads out of a bad fitting shotgun and it can hurt. I fired some 3 inch 2 oz luballoys out of a plain jane 1100 that were just fine.

It is how the gun fits you, even an old superposed 3 inch with the hard plastic butt pad is not so bad when the geese are low over the dekes, but the high setters, when you have to lean back to shoot high, OWWIIEEEEEE.

Yet another excuse to plug the Knoxx Recoil Reducing Stock!

I can shoot 3" Slug with no pain at all with my Remington 870 because I put a Recoil Reducing Stock called a SpecOps by Knoxx.com on it. Given a choice I prefer to shoot 2 3/4" slugs instead, because they feel like birdshot in 20ga., they are that light.

Last weekend I put some 30 3" slugs through it, and felt no pain. The next day I played golf without issue. Try and do that with another stock!

If Knoxx is listening, I accept bribes ;) Kidding of course. I'm just a big fan of the product. I was a sceptic, but now I'm in love with it!
