Hard use Reliability/Durability: P320 vs VP9 vs PPQ

VP9 Factory coming soon

H&K is opening a US factory for the VP9 in all variants soon .
My buddy in Oberndorf told me that the staff selection progress is done.(The guys who come from Oberndorf to the US to train and supervise the local guys ). He was not 100% sure about location.

I have VP9 and a PPQ M2 and prefer the VP9 because it is made to tighter tolerances and feels more solid.
If you just shake the gun you hear the Walther characteristic slide rattle.
I have 13000 rounds through my VP9 and about 8000 through the PPQ with no issues.
I am just a target shooter so I can't say anything about carrying either one.

Columbia/Georgia

Do you mean Columbus, GA? Edit: I see there is also a Columbia country which may be what you meant. I just figured Columbus since they already have facilities there.

Curious why they wouldn't just expand the operation in Newington, NH where the HK45 is made/assembled.

I recently got the Walther PPQ .45 ACP and its a finely crafted and engineered firearm with a fit and finish to rival SIG's P320, if not surpass it. I have both. My only gripe: Walther comes with plastic sights. I changed those out with Trijicon steel night sights and works like a champ. And with double stack of 12 rounds of .45 its a great concealed carry gun. I've shied away from carrying .45 due to lack of capacity. Walther fixed that. So did the SIG P227 for that matter.

I hate the trigger in DA mode but I like that gun for some reason. Did they ever beef up the mags so that they are steel reinforced like Glocks?

I own all 3 and love them all the same.. some feel better then others in my hand, but I quickly get over it.

Look at getting a UM Tactical mount to run a red dot, then you can run it on most Guns that have a picatinny rail. Plus you can take it on and off easily, and not loose zero. Let me know if you have questions about the Tactical mount. I have running a few for awhile now. You can holster it too. All you need is one holster and any gun with the mount on it will fit the holster. No gunsmith required

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

I'd have to split between the VP9 and the PPQ and leave the P320 out on this one. Mostly because I have a PPQ that I will happily rave about, and the polymer framed SIGs give me an impression of generally "blah" when I handle them.

I can only speak of the PPQ and VP9. I had the VP9 for a little over a year and really wanted to like it. I wanted to like it so much that I bought two. I have small hands and found the grip a little long for my liking. But I kept thinking I'd will myself to like it. I had no problem with the trigger guard mag release. And for some reason it always shot low and to the left. I finally decided to sell it to get something else. This time I tried the PPQ. The PPQ is what I wanted the VP9 to be. I'll just leave it at that.
