That assumption is correct. I've shot more 12 ga rounds than I could hope to count but probably only a few hundred 20s. It is still new territory for me but thankyou for the suggestions.
My son is 13 been shooting a single shot 20 gauge NEF for about 3 years. He has also shot my Mossberg 500 pump 20 gauge and says it is too heavy. I was at a pawn shop today and ran across a over/under 20 gauge Stoeger for a decent price and it is fairly light. I am thinking about going back tomorrow and putting it on layaway for Christmas. I am just tossing this out there you might look at an over/under.
