10 ga's are good turkey guns if you dont mind haulin' the weight around.
I've got a 10ga Pardner that I "customized" into a turkey gun. Min has a much shorter barrel than the one you described though (18" or 20")
- red-dot scope
- textured grip and fore-end
- camo paint job
- Kick's Gobblin' Thunder choke tube
- Sim's Recoil Pad
It's definately a shoulder cannon, but it thumps on both ends. I flat tracked a hen with an 8inch beard last spring @ 55yrds
