Guns You HATE

I dislike Glocks, and will likely never own one, don't hate them, just don't fit my hobby.

I HATE all the junk pot metal guns out of Florida. aka--Lorcin,Phoenix, Intratec, and High Point (I think they are FL.).

These ARE the guns that make our hobby look bad, because they are so cheap in price, and cheaply made.

You can stand on street corner in Chicago, (preferably with a bullet proof vest on), call out, and procure one, no questions asked. Brought in by straw buyers from Indiana, and Oklahoma and Texas.

BossHoss, better take that back, cities like Gary resemble that ,,,,,I I,,, I mean resent that comment.
I don’t like Hi points or Tarsus’s but it’s not a hate. The only guns that I hate are those I let go in a period of stupidness.
1. Mid 60’s S&W 5 inch 27.
2. National match M1A
3. Python
4. HK 91
5. HK 93

I don't like Llama guns. Why? One bad experience. I bought a Llama .32acp semi automatic. Built like a miniature 1911. After about 500 rounds the soft metal in the works made the gun inoperable. I suppose it can be welded and reshaped parts (the weld would be harder than the original) but it's not worth the expense.

JUNK!:(

"Hate" an inanimate object? Silly misuse of the word.

I dislike--and won't own--any poorly designed or manufactured handgun from any company.

Stipulating reliability, any handgun with which you can regularly hit a target is useful. Obviously, some moreso than others.

Seems to me it's far more useful, here, to illustrate what are considered flaws in design or manufacturing among various brands or types.

For instance, although I dislike the aesthetics of the "black plastic" semi-autos, I have an FN Herstal in 5.7. Why? Light weight and no recoil to upset my arthritic shoulder. Design flaw (IMO)? Magazine disconnect, which is not removable as on the Browning Hi-Power. Otherwise? Good shooter.

Lets see -
#1 - Glock, its innovation died in the 70's, much more myth than reality to how "great it is" and despite how "elite" its suppose to be I cant hardly imagine a less polished gun. The only truly redeeming value it has is its cheap.. It is truly as said somewhere above glock PERFICTION. Also lately there seem to be a lot more complaints about Glock failures and flaws than I have seen in prior years. Would not recommend to anyone..

#2 - High Point Pistols - only by the slimmest of margins more refined then Glock, often available in great carry sizes and low prices and low performance.. Would not recommend to anyone.

#3 - Taurus -Owned 3 of them once... will never buy again at any price... failure prone.... Would not recommend to anyone... Still more useable than either of the two above if not as reliable as the Glock... Taurus at least is innovative..

#4 - Kahr - a fair bit more refined than glock or High Point but still a bit crude... not so much a hate of this brand as just not being impressed by it..

Firearms I hate?

Every single one of them that beckons to me through gun store display glass that I can't afford to take home.
I agree with this. Also I hate every gun or rifle other than mine because they are not mine. If all the ones I can not afford were mine I would love them. I would kiss.. hug and make lov... ummm . I would go shoot them yeah that's it I would shoot them a lot.

And I bet you read that on the Internet, so it must be true right?

Unfortunately I had two Bersa pistols, one of which I owned, break on me. Both had less than 300 rounds through them. Parts breakages like the hammer and the trigger is, to me at least, caused by using inferior materials and poor manufacturing.

Sorry to hear about that. At least your opinion is based on actual experience, which I respect.

Although they're not the classiest guns by any means, I have found them to be pretty rugged and reliable... strange that you had 2 duds like that.

It's illogical to hate or love your gun. The other thread, do you love your gun was funnier. I dislike most of Glocks features even if I could shoot it good. I dislike plastic in a gun. I dislike Taurus quality. Street Sweepers are junk. That little flip up rear sight on Ranch Rifles is pretty cheesy. The fit on my Guide Gun stock isn't rock solid. Most of Rugers handgun grips suck.:D

That's all I guess.

I "dislike" any weapon that is put on the market solely to fill an artificially created niche.

Too much crap being put out there by those folks only interested in a fast buck.

I probably did phrase that wrong. :/ Allow me to restructure my statements. I'm speaking only out of personal preference. My older brother and my rabbi have Glocks on their nightstands. The fact that Glocks keep my family and friends safe alone is enough to make me love Glocks. But that doesn't mean I need to be a fan. That's what this thread was all about. Letting people say I hate Glocks, 1911s, all revolvers, whatever it may be, without getting stigmatized for 'bashing'. Cause let's face it, even the most evenhanded man on the planet has stuff he just doesn't like.

Now, back on topic, the Taurus Judge always bothered me. I mean, seriously? A .410 revolver? It just screams to me, 'I was made for the gimmick factor and nothing more.'

We have had Glock threads and Judge threads galore. If the OP just wants to replay that - this thread is heading for a shut down.

In fact, the OP needs to give a rationale for his dislike of a firearm on a technical basis or he's not contributing much.

Let him do that first.

On that note, you probably should, then. I have zero technical basis. Just don't like them. Same way I don't like mayo on burgers.

I hate Hi-Point for sure....The make good boat anchors.

But I would own a Kel-tek (which I dont)....weird huh.

I will never buy a Taurus revolver again.....(long story) But I have .38 snubie i like and will keep. I love the pt-92 better then the beretta.

So I have weird tastes I guess.

My favorite gun to shoot is my .17hmr savage from Wal-mart $175. I shoot it ten times as much as any other gun I own.

My favorite gun I own is my Colt .357 trooper MK III that is MINT 99.9%
