Guns You HATE

Here's a place where we can all rag on on the weapons we loathe. :D Every gun and any gun is welcome, just mention your reasons for the hate!

To start things off, GLOCK is the first gun on the chopping block. I've never been one to spit in the face of progress, but MY relationship with Mr. Glock's weapon has always been similar to my relationship with Hendrix and Van Halen. Everyone around me tells me they revolutionized the way things are done, but every time I touch them, Glocks make me wonder why anyone ever even bothered with them. Forget revolutionary polymer frame technology, impressive magazine capacity, legendary reliability, and relative affordability; I want something that's remotely pleasent to shoot, please! Your brick-like ergonomics, brick-like aesthetics, and half-frozen-tub-o-lard trigger are NOT for me.

Well, that's about it. Who's next? ;)

Oh my, let the fireworks begin.

Hate is a rather strong emotion to hold towards an inanimate object. There are certainly guns that aren't for me (Taurus 94, AK pattern rifles, Glocks, anything polymer, most fat double stack autos, fllyweight .357 magnums, etc), but I don't hate them. In fact, I have a great deal of respect for many of them (the Glocks and AKs in particular), but in the case of Glocks and AKs the ergos just don't feel right. But YMMV.

So I'll leave hating guns, or a particular gun, to the antis.

Rossi and Taurus revolvers. Taurus especially redesigned the lockwork, deleting the rebound slide which is a major safety feature in the original design.

I will pay more for a S&W or Ruger or Colt.

The only way I'd buy a Taurus was if it was used, good operating condition and very low price.

Classic designs that have been around for decades that have useless lawyer engineering imposed upon them that serve no actual useful purpose.

Kahr PM40, Seecamp 32 auto, Kel Tec PF9, I have owned scores of handguns and have not found a semi auto pocket pistol that was reliable yet.

The ones that were pointed at me when I was robbed on three separate occasions. I also hate the wielder of those guns for making me feel the way I did.

Now, I've got guns of my own to offer resistance should it happen again.

YEP PYTHON LEON,I know what you mean I own 2 Pretty colts 6'' PYTHON &
70 Gold cup.Either one have been worth a flip, the Python has been in the shop several times for timming problems & trigger problems.I think I have about 2500.00 in the two & about 500.00 worth of shooting.

PRETTY just aint cutting it.:mad::mad:

Which Van Halen? And Hendrix? You might as well make this a Ford/Chevy thing!

A direct comparison to Glock?

I hate the hater's, esp Glock hater's.

Son, your walking down the wrong trail of Perfiction logic, and opening up that pandora's box.

In fact, I can't think of a gun I hate, maybe those Saterday night spl's that blows up in people face's. But that's not a gun! It's a gun company. Cheap poop!

You eat at McDonalds, what goes in comes out.

It's funny, I don't like Glock, I don't love any Glock's. But I plan on owning one for my own logical reason's. (.50gi 45acp, 10mm, 9X25 Dillon, .357sig, 40cal, 9x19mm, 22 conversion, and some other sabot (Yes Sabot) round all in a "Glock")

Next time maybe start out with "Gun's you love"

TBS, the only gun I hate, is the one I'm on the other end of the barrel.

I question the motives of the OP, it looks like he just wanted an excuse to bash Glocks. I'm no fan of Glocks myself, but I know lots of people who are, and they are entitled to that opinion.

One thing I have learned over the years is that the guns I love are often despised by someone else. Everyone likes what they like for different reasons, and fortunately there are 1000s of gun designs to keep everyone happy.

All I can really, honestly, talk about is what guns work or don't work FOR ME. Think it would be more useful to have a "guns we love" thread

Glocks are interesting in that, even folks who don't care for them still fell a cumpulsion to have one...myself included. It works and it's fine, but I only baught one because I just felt like...why not have one? I think for me, I just wanted one polymer gun...a gun I could abuse if necessary. Not that any of my all stells guns couldn't take the abuse. I carry them all the time and I wouldn't hesitate to put one into hard action, but they just wouldn't look a purdy afterwards!

I hate any gun with an internal lock.
I don't like magazine disconnects either.

I love Glocks & MIM free 1911's.
