Guns that feel perfect straight out the box

Of course it is all subjectivebut here are mine

CZ75 = first time I had my hand around one, I knew I had to get one ASAP

Sig Trailside = same as about, love at first grip.

Ruger Red Label = much maligned by many, but mine feels perfect and shoots great.

Back in my high school days I worked at a trap range, every Saturday afternoon and at every registered shoot they had. I usually shot practice on Wednesday nights. The range owner let me use a Perazzi single shot he had for sale, hoping I’d buy it if I liked it. I don’t remember the model number, but it was one of those that looked like an over/under with the top barrel missing. Real high vent rib on it. I proceeded to break 50 straight with it. Normally I shot somewhere around 40 of 50. I planned to buy the gun, until he told me the price. Good thing I was so young, otherwise I’d would have had a heart attack. That shotgun fit me perfectly. Too bad I didn’t have the money for it.

K Frame revolvers, Ruger Blackhawks, SAA clones, S&W M&P semi autos. Most lever action rifles. USGI M1 Carbine rifles.

There are others, but those come to mind right off the bat.

I forgot to add a couple:

Astra Constable A60 and A70 and the Sig P232.

Never owned them, but have held them and they all felt very comfortable in the hand.

A Springfield XD fits my hand like they designed it with my dimensions in mind. It really feels like a custom handgun to me, no matter the particular model or chambering.

About 5 or so years ago, a guy that I shoot with sometimes, who's a dedicated gun swapper, decided he wanted to get rid of a shotgun to fund and AK project. I told him I might be interested and to bring it out the next weekend when we shot IDPA together.

Next weekend rolls around and he pulls a CZ Mallard (double trigger O/U, low end field gun model) out of a gun case. I told him I really had no use for a 12ga field gun, as I had other more suitable guns for my upland hunting. He said he really, really needed to sell it as the window of opportunity was closing on whatever AK parts kit he wanted to buy and offered the CZ to me for $200.00. It was damn near brand new, probably had 50 rounds through it and came with 5 choke tubes and the original box and paperwork. I figured for that price it would make a good upland gun for my son when he got older and wanted to step up from his 20ga, so I bought it.

On a whim, I took it to the trap range with me for league practice that Tuesday night and found out that the CZ fit me like it was fitted TO me. I absolutely couldn't miss with that gun. I shot it better than the Browning BT-99 I was using for trap league at that time.

I shot the CZ in trap league that Thursday night (and got a few snickers from a couple of my buddies) and ran my first 25 and 50 straight with it! I had NEVER broke more than 24 with the BT-99 in nearly a year of shooting trap league. I went on to shoot that field grade for the rest of trap league season and wound up running my first ever 99 (a 100 still eluded me until the next season) with it. The only way I can explain the success with that field gun is the fit had to be my "sweet spot".

The only mistake I made was telling my son that the CZ was his when I bought it, and after trap league was over he told me he was ready to step up from the 20ga. I had to honor my word to him, of course, and now he hunts waterfowl and upland birds with the CZ.

I told him if he ever decides he wants to "upgrade" from the CZ, I'll buy him whatever he wants and gladly take the CZ back. He told me "nope, I can't miss with it", lol.

Near Perfect out of the Box is.....

My Kahr TP45 is such a pistol. I must say it is the only pistol that I can say I really love this handgun. It's slim, light weight and easy to hold. It hit where I want it to hit and that is always a good thing. I want new sights, but I don't need new sights.

1911A1 .45acp Springfield Loaded, XDs .45acp, and my Henry lever action .22.

I enjoy all of my firearms but these seem to feel like and extension of me.

Pistol- +1 for 1911s and my Dad's Smith 29-3 w/ 4" bbl and grooved Pachmayr Grips pointed naturally for me.

Rifle- M1a Fullsize (Maybe because I'm taller and in the Military, so the peep sights are a natural thing for me)

Shotgun- Winchester 101 Select Field 28" Superb swing and fit. Lightweight as well.

Feel great pieces right out of the box:

Pistols: Browning Medalist, Series 70 45acp-Cup, Colt Mod 1903 32 acp. S&W Mod 41.
Modern Rifle: Sig-Sauer 202 Supreme, far and away better than anything else I have here.

Shotgun: Iver Johnson single shot in 28 ga. Citori Lighting 20 ga.

Black powder: Don't own one but T/Cs Stainless steel Omega sure shoulders & feels good to me. Much much better than their Pro Hunter model even.

The Sig P232 and the EMP have both fit my hand naturally and the best the first time I picked them up.
