Guns in movie/tv trivia game

I can't remember if its The Package or not, but I did see a movie a long time ago where Hackman had an Aug. So I'm going to guess Aug.

Is that your final answer?

Uh yea, Aug!

StrayDog, yeah that is the movie. Though to quote John Woo, "reality is boring". Though 40+ shots seems like a lot to me without reloading, what scene?

Kinda dead 'round here, lets see if anyone wants to pick up the game again:

What anachronistic rifle was George Peppard armed with at the beginning of The Blue Max?

Cry "Havoc!" and let slip the dogs of war.

The Blu Max was a WWI movie about fighter pilots....hmmmmmmm....

I haven't a clue but my guess is it was of German make...

sorry no concrete guesses...

Pretty much EVERY scene...i can't remember which one was the worst offender, but the first one comes to mind, where he walks in, fires a couple rounds into the guards, slides out and shoots some other guy, and another guy, and eventually the singer, and then still other guys.

I'd list more, but i keep seeing images of a hospital shootout, which i know happens in Hard-Boiled.

Ok, Steve McQueen played a bounty hunter on Wanted Dead or Alive.

Two questions:

1. What was that gun he carried?
Fairly easy

2. What was the show biz nuance about the
ammo on his belt?

I hope I'm not out of line jumping in here, but Stephen A Camp's question caught my eye.
If I'm correct, the pistol that James Caan used most in 'Thief' was longslide 1911, but there was one scene, though, in which he's packing a satin nickle or hard chrome (but probably not stainless, judging from the year the film came out) 1911, looks like a Combat Commander. There was also a snubby revolver used by one of the henchmen that looks like a custom cut-down S&W N frame.

According to the credits, guns were supplied by Hoag Gun Works. I don't know if that applies only to the longslide, or all the guns.

Wanted Dead or Alive:

Winchester 92 in 44-40

Cartridges in the belt were 45-70's for "visual appeal"

In the movie "True Grit". What was the handgun carried used by the girl (Kim Darby)who hired Rooster Cogbuern?

Sharps-

Wasn't that the hogleg of all hoglegs, the Colt Walker?

In one scene Wayne called it a Colt's Dragoon, which was not entirely accurrate. In actuality it was a Colt Walker, a variation on the Third Model Dragoon.
I'll defer the next question to someone else since I'm leaving for a gun show and will not be around to play. Assumiing the thread continues.

Guess I was a little faster on the draw...

But thinking of a gun question from a movie, that's hard. Most of my favorite "gun movies" are pretty straightforward: Saving Private Ryan some such war movie.

Anyone remember what kind of pistol they shot the horse with in Animal House?

in the movie End of Days. what kind of SMG did Arnold Schwarzenegger. carry at the end of the movie.

To KSlawman! You are right about the Hoag longslide. Since the credits said, "Handguns by Hoag Gunworks," I assume that the lighter colored 1911 was by Hoag, but don't know if it was a Commander or not! "Leo" appeared to have had a 4" S&W M19, but what kind of shotgun was being used by Dennis Farina (spl?) to shoot at Caan? Best.

Dadgummit, ya'll are just too fast for me! Everytime I know one somebody beats me to it.
I'll throw one out just for fun.

What handgun did Detective Axel Folley carry in Beverly Hills Cop?
