Now that is one serious piece of hardware! 1st time I've eer seen one as I recall. Nice. And painful looking......

I always thought they used some kind of giant crossbow thing to shoot those big spears......

Gotta have one of those' we have an awful whale problem here in TN. Crop and property damage along with all that splashing and caterwallen keeping us awake all nite
Anyone willing to get along side one of them huge critters in a tiny little boat has my respect.
Before they even go poke'n at it with a sharp stick.
 
Forgot to mention that some of the whaling crews are as young as 10. I know of young men aged 11 who have killed Polar bears

I live in Central Texas, and about ten years ago when I lived in town, I had a Greenpeace volunteer come to my door soliciting donations to "fight" whaling.

I told him I'd give him a donation of $ 50,000.00 if he could come back within six hours, and bring an actual Whaler with him, since I didn't think whaling was a very big problem in the Hill Country.

I guess he couldn't convince any Central Texas Whalers to cooperate, because he never came back.

Whaling Darting Gun

Hi, we actually need a whaling darting gun, or a Greener Harpoon Gun. Do you know anyone that has one for sale here in Anchorage?? Would appreciate an answer, thanks!!
