Gun Shows

JaguarXK120 hit the nail squarely on the head. It isn't our job to educate vendors but to get a good deal. Let the buyer beware works both ways, except you'd call it, let the seller beware.

I attend a handful of Tanner shows every years. I work the tables for the Colorado State Shooting Association, which allows me to walk the show, free, after my shift.

For a number of years, I have judged how popular the shows are by the number of tables selling everything from custom made jewelry to miracle creams that cure cancer, fight crime and remove un-wanted hair.

But again I say, for ten dollars, where can you see so much stuff under one roof. Even if you don't buy anything, I think it's worth the money.

I miss all the individuals selling and trading their stuff at shows.
High table prices and liability insurance requirements have driven most of them away.
What's left is easier acquired from the web, now-a-days.
Too bad.

The internet store fronts bring junk right to your bedroom laptop so why bother with a 2 hr drive round trip, pay $8+ bucks to get in the door only to find higher prices? I browse the better shows in my area for the vintage militeria items. I'm in a learning curve of this era and it's worth it for me.
