Gun Prices

When I lived in Midland, I always thought I got pretty reasonable prices out there. I went to a guy named Jim Walls and he always treated me pretty well. My opinion is that guns seem more expensive here in Houston, but maybe I am just buying a better grade of guns.

glh, you must be talking about "Between the Walls" gunshop over there on Big Spring. He's pretty comparable with most of the shops I've gone into here in Houston. He's not as good as Bachman's up in Dallas.

Art Eatman, don't you think the guns were cheaper at True Value back when there were 4 or 5 FFL holders living in Alpine? Since then, Clintonization of FFL's drove a lot of non-storefront holders out of business everywhere.

Just agreeing with the folks who've mentioned Bachman Pawn and Gun in Dallas. At the gun shows in town they generally have the best prices by far. And their people are friendly and helpful. Truthfully, I've never even been to their store. I just shop the gun shows when I'm looking for something and Bachman is always WAY cheaper than anyone else for the same items. (Not coincidentally, they also have the biggest crowd around their booth. It's the only place I can remember having to wait in line to process my gun purchase.)
