Gun Paint - Politics as usual

Stop Paint Sales

Think of all the people that would still be alive if we just take paint away from the bad guys.
Without paint this would be a better world.

Once again liberal crapheads want to save the world, and only they know the true way.

"Imagine if all the legaly owned guns in Texas suddenly became legaly owned guns in NYC."
How can you say that,, think about all the hard criminals that MUST be presumed innocent until proven guilty that would be hurt of killed in there only known trade. :(

Bloomberg is an idiot.

The sad part is that people listen to him.

A quick check revealed that there are no "kits" to make a real handgun look like a toy gun. It's possible to do it with existing materials if one has the imagination and wants to spend the time to do it. Instead of banning the product(s), wouldn't it be better to prohibit making a firearm look like a toy? That should be defined as making the muzzle end of any firearm bright orange or bright green.

Mentioned in the article are Brownell's -- a wholesale supplier and not a manufacturer of the products -- and KG Industries -- makers of KG Metal Coating products, formerly called Kal-Gard. A quick review of Brownell's site showed the only "flourescent" coloration kits are for sight paints. Checking KG's site here shows that one of their coatings is an orange color which can be used to denote non-functioning guns, range guns or adding color to race guns. Lauer Custom Weaponry sells DuraCoat and it appears that cherry red is one of the colors.

As usual, Bloomberg is over reacting and like a good Democrat thinks we should ban a product because of misuse rather than penalize the misuse of the product. No doubt if he heard about someone being stabbed with a ballpoint pen, he'd move to outlaw pens.
