Gun insurance question

How many times do I have to say Safeco if you want firearms insured on your homeowners. An extra policy or even scheduling is pricey. The commission on it is great though. Agent probably making north of 20 percent commission on the scheduleditems premium. Buy some cylinder coating while your at it.

Honestly id take all that money you spent insuring them and ivest it a good safe and security system..if your guns break due to any catostrophic failure chances are the insurance will try to get out of paying you saying it could of been avoided so all your paying them for is theft protection..imo a high quality safe security system and a good 4 legged friend or two are a much better investment

  1. A safe provides protection only as long as the gun is in it. So it's fine as long as you never take your guns outside. But if you use your guns in the world -- recreational shooting, hunting, taking classes, in competition, etc. -- a safe is only part of the story.

  2. The real utility of gun insurance is not if you break your gun. It's if your gun is lost or stolen, or if it gets damaged transporting it.

Consider video tapping up close and normal distance.
State Farm might just set their own value and give me enough to maybe buy dinner
