Gun control poll at ABC

Just looked -- the NOs are winning! :)

NO - 2344
Yes - 1736

Another poll result that'll be buried because they don't like the result.

As of a few moments ago:

There have been three deadly shootings at schools within a seven-day period.

Should there be more gun control in the United States?

No. More gun control will not make us safer. Criminals will still get guns if they want.

Yes. Everyone, especially children, will be safer if guns are tougher to access.

Total Vote: 4,209

Just think what would happen if people cared this much about polls that actualy mattered. Aka the elections next month.

Right you are.

I would only hope that virtually ALL people who participate in this forum, and who therefore have a vested interest in the 2nd Amendent, don't have to be told to VOTE next month.

I have to admit that I am confused by the small handful of (obviously) Democrats here in TFL who appear to "hate" Bush and Republicans and who therefore vote for those who would totally ban and outlaw guns in a heartbeat if/when they get back in power.
That, I don't get.

Lmao!!

Thank God for talk radio and Fox News, who some times acknowledges there is a conservative side to issues.

talk radio and Fox News are no better than the bullcrap spewed forth by the "liberal" news media. Let's face it, mainstream media in general whether "left" or "right" is crap. I prefer my news fair and balanced rather than spiked with one side or another. However I would have to say NPR is okay, they don't bring up the dumbest of topics as much as TV news does.

unfortunately, the one everyone's going to see is the CNN one, where common sense is getting it worse than marilyn at a kennedy party. baby steps i guess, though.

Beg to differ. Radio yes, both sides put forth an agenda. However FOX NEWS is by far balanced as compared to CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC and ABC. The big difference is they put forth their slant with NO counter and bash, bash, bash. FOX and more specific O'Reilly put forth a strong point of view but always have somebody to counter his arguement or point. Hannity is no doubt major conservative but Colmes is just as Liberal. Sheppard Smith is neither nor is Brit Hume. O'Reilly generally sides on conservative but as I said he has a counter view. So when you say they aren't balanced--whom are you referring to? When compared to a Keith Olbermann, Wolf Blitzer, Chris Mathews etc...it is more then balanced.
