S shafter New member Nov 3, 2020 #23 If it were me, I wouldn't buy a new rifle for a one time hunt. I'd use either my 308 or 30-06, unless of course I was already in the market for a new rifle. I think with proper ammunition either one of those calibers would do the job just fine.
