Guess which country this happened in:

I can't choose a side  .

My dislike for drug using ravers ...... vs. my dislike for abuse of government power...... ahhhh! What a predicament.

I shall wait for the FACTS before I make up my mind about this. However, I must say the video does much to COUNTER the claims made by the topic starter.... leading me to lean to the other side for the time being.....

and it would appear that the officer's faces are covered.
Don't most drug enforcement officers who often go undercover often do this.

Orlando has the Duke Boys. I don't think they have faces

I'll admit that it does look more like a military raid than a police operation.
But they were seemingly easily identified.

"I think they're pigs man, they got guns"

I am amazed at the number of people, even on this forum who say

"oh, it's the government, it must be ok."

Are you even paying attention? Did that look like a normal raid to you? Wow.

"I think they're pigs man, they got guns"

The word was serious, not pigs. Nice try, though.

the claims made by the topic starter

I'm not making any claims. I'm just passing on some news. ;)

The young man doing the taping is within arms reach of several officers several times and at no time is he told to hand over the camera nor is there any attempt to prevent him from taping.
After the third time he is told to leave he is told to put the camera down and go.

"Put the camera down or you're under arrest."

If you have better ears than Joab, maybe you can quote the other two times they're telling him to leave.

One thing that's just a little too creepy for me: the uniforms don't even have 'POLICE' written on them, and it would appear that the officer's faces are covered.
Risky practice. People with guns, without clear identification, and their faces covered are normally construed to be badguys and an imminent and deadly threat. And the proper response to badguys with guns coming at you is shoot first.

Put the camera down or you're under arrest.
Wasn't that after the third or so time they told him to leave.
After he was told to get in his car and go and he replied my car's that way actually
The word was serious, not pigs.
The word was a doper drawn out "pigs" not serious. Put it on a different player so you can stop and repeat at that moment.
If you have better ears than Joab, maybe you can quote the other two times they're telling him to leave.
So you are being proven wrong by the evidence that you supply and decide that I am some how physically deficient
The evidence is there you should know you provided it

"Did that look like a normal raid to you?"

Didn't watch it. What's a normal raid look like? Anything like the Democratic Convention riots in Chicago in '68?

Are you a liar?
No I was mistaken
This morning it sounded like "pigs"

Are you a liar? Or just so filled with cop hate that you would present an article on Nazis cops providing a video that totally disputes the claims being made.
And then make statements that are also easily disputed by watching the same video
Personally, if a cop is telling someone with a video camera to hand it over or be arrested,
Please explain the cop that was standing next to him as he was taping.
Please explain the other cops that were standing around paying him no attention until he practically waded into the officers arresting 2 or 3 people on the ground.
Please explain him being told to get in his car, by the officer standing in full view of the camera who never asked or demanded the camera, and leave before being told to put the camera down and I believe it was also him being told to "get out of here, get"

At what time did any of the officers even attempt to stop him from taping or take the camera away even though many had ample oportunity to do so.

On the other hand how many officers paid him no attention at all until he started getting in the way of an arrest in progress.

If you listened to that recording on different players, slowed it down, and still thought they said pigs, mistaken or not, I don't see why I should bother taking on anything else you saw/heard. :p

If you listened to that recording on different players, slowed it down,
Where did I say players ? Where did I say that I slowed it down?
I don't see why I should bother taking on anything else you saw/heard.
Nice bailout. I'll just assume that you assumed that others here would share your prejudice and not bother to actually watch the video and disprove the blatant lies that you attempted to spread.

Are you saying that I did not see the officers not trying to confiscate the video or physically stop him from taping.
:p right back at ya

I like cops. :)

The purpose of this thread was to see reactions and compare them to the BATFE running rampant in virginia holy moses HIDE THE WOMEN type threads on other forums, and to inform.

I figure the concertgoers story is slightly exaggerated, and any of the serious claims they make (2 mil insurance policy, permit) will be proven publicly, either to their humiliation or that of the police.
However, I don't exactly see the point of using unlabeled police officers to go in, kick people around, and punch small women in the face. ;)

Besides, you see where the video is spinning and glitching? That happens when the camera is jostled or smacked, precisely what would happen if an officer made a grab for it. One of the first things you learn about video camera retention is to resist the urge to film someone taking it, you turn it and your body away, as you can see in the video.

Assuming that that may be true.
Given the fact that they had ample opportunity to confiscate the camera and the fact that he was disobeying a lawful command to leave an illegal assembly what are the chances he was being arrested for disorderly conduct for refusing to leave after being given more than enough warnings to do so.

If all they wanted was the camera why did they order him to leave several times instead of ordering him to relinquish the camera even once?

punch small women in the face
Did I also miss that in the evidence video
