Gotta love Wal-Mart & USA

When I lived in AZ I made a point that every time I bought a gun at Wal Mart to pick up a bottle of liquor. Just because I could! :D

Oh, the good old days when I lived in a free state!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

I was thinking that exact same thing. As I recall, it was a Longs Drug on Highway 50.

That was it - once some thug came in during the day with a sledge hammer and broke the pistol display case and stole a few guns, it wasn't long before the corporate stopped selling handguns.........I coulda/woulda/shoulda bought the Super Blackhawk when they closed them out for $200

and to "lawnboy" - they also had slots, but no strippers - then again the legal brothels were only about 4-5 miles down the highway right over the county line....... ;)

Gotta love the freedoms in NV for all of us sinners........:p

I almost forgot about these gas station/sporting good stores called Anglers we used to have around Charleston that sold guns. I bought my SBE2 Benelli shotgun from one and my credit card company called me to make sure the purchase was legit because it was $1000.00+ at a gas station......lol

I have a Sears J.C. Higgins Mauser 30-06, and my first rifle was purchased at Woolworth's, a walnut stocked 10/22 for $55. No kiddin' the good ol'e days!

Anyone remember the Colorado bank that used to give you a Weatherby for a CD deposit? You got the gun up front, but couldn't touch the money for a year or two.

About 40 years ago when I was stationed down south, I would drive past fruit and vegetable stands with signs stating, "Corn, mellons, guns".

Our WalMart sells guns, ammo, booze and tobacco, nobody blinks an eye. :) Of course, these departments aren't NEXT to each other. :)
I sent in a suggestion that they start carrying reloading supplies...no answer yet.

Black Momba,
they kept the money for either 5 or 7 years. Back when earning interest rates ran about 7-10%!!!

We now in live in a small rural town outside of Augusta, GA. It's pretty cool as the Wal Mart has a 16" barrel Bushmaster AR (with collapsible stock) in the gun cabinet:D; they actually have a decent selection for a Wal Mart. I now know the guy that works that department the most and is willing to try new things and assist on special orders. Our Ace Hardware also has an excellent gun/ammo and hunting room...I can pick up electrical or plumbing supplies along with a few boxes of ammo:D
