Gothic Gat...find me one.

My wife if a 31 year old Gothic chic, who is mostly content to shoot more common items. She hunts with a Ruger M-77 & has a Taurus 7-shot .38 at bedside. Normal stuff.

But NOW she wants a high goth firearm. It needs to be:

~.38spl/.32auto up to .45 in caliber
~ Victorian gothic as is possible
~ Reliable & 4"/25yds accurate


A Gothed out .22lr plinker would be okay, and I thought a tricked out Webley would be cool. Please send pics. Oh, and please...

...NO MOVIE OR OTHER PHONEY GUNS/NON-GUNS!
 
definitely a unique request. :eek:

check out SIG's website, they now have a whole slew of bizarre finishes available. seem to want to be more of a fashion company nowadays lol
 
A 1911 would work well with some custom parts, you could also use a glock i think, The frame could be inlaid with skulls/goth stuff etc, get wolf barrel maybe threaded with a muzzle brake. You could even glue spikes into the frame:D
 
An interesting conundrum. I'd lean more towards ball and cap revolvers as a gothic theme but that might be diving too far into black powder. I would think you could get a decent looking single action to start, maybe a Blackhawk?

I second the idea for the 1911, you can get gothic type stocks for the grip and engraving can be done if you really want to.

This is an airsoft pistol, but you get the idea.

Interesting question. I like WW's idea of a single action, and a BP cap'n ball would be best. But how about this Pietta?

So we're not talking about the other Gothic era, just late Victorian maybe. Anything designed and made in the late 19th century. Plenty there to pick through.
 
Interesting request. My first thought was Webley as well. How about something you can afford to play with modify all you want and not worry if it gets ruined?

Nagant. Sort of has the Webley look. I've sure never seen one "tricked out". But, since you can get them for less than a hundred bucks, you can just start over if you ruin it. A chromed and engraved Nagant with custom grips would certainly be unique. With an aftermarket cylinder you can shoot .32 ACP.

Or a broomhandle Mauser. Lot's more money though. And I'd feel bad about modifying it.
 
Agreed on the Webley - sort of "Sherlock Holmesian" if you will!

One other option, though, which may be less expensive, would be a derringer. I would think for a goth chic, something she could carry with her might be a bonus... Derringer she could pack - Webley, not so much...
 
I agree with Doc, the derringers have a nice goth look to them and with some custom grips and some good engraving could look pretty awesome. the only thing I'm not big on is the limitation of shots, I think they're only 2-shots, so you better be accurate with them.

More like "range jewelry"
 
Someone posted a picture above of a Reeder Custom 1911, its not an airsoft pistol, and that smith makes a lot of designs you and your lady might find appealing. Although given victorian era maybe a fancy derringer...but thats would be a show piece not something very useful.
