I've looked mine over and can't find "Brazil" anywhere. However, under the right grip, on the frame about 1/4" below the top grip screw bushing is stamped "GF." Could this stand for "Grip Frame?"
The gun dealer I bought it from told me the frame was made in Brazil, but he may have been trying to sell me the Springfield for $100 more that he said was made in the U.S.
