Good times for 40 cal lovers!!

I almost forgot about another 40 deal I happened upon about two years ago when the transition craze was just starting to hit hard and heavy. Was able to pick up a blue label glock 22 in unissued condition at another great price! It was cheaper than a well used 22 was going for just a year or so earlier. Must have been some sort of purchase overrun. Came with three mags and factory night sites. Yes, 40 fans are living in great times.:D

Once Trump was elected, firearms sales dropped way off. There are lots of good deals to be had right now across the board. Many great polymer 9mm - .45 autos are under $300 and .380s can be had under $200. I'm even seeing ARs right at $400.

In my area the 40 seems to be dropping off rapidly as far as sales go.
My local shop mentioned that they sell 10 9mm pistols for every .40 S&W pistol they sell.
used Glocks, FNs, and S&W in .40 are plentiful and cheap!

Good times indeed.

I have 1k of factory, 500 reloads, 1000+ pieces of brass and a set of 40/10mm dies....all just waiting for a 40 cal gun to come across that I'm interested in.

I'm probably more likely to pickup a 10mm though.

Today I was in the gun library at my local Cabela's staring at the LNIB HK P2000 .40S&W V2 LEM trigger variant for $539.00 that has been there for a couple months now. I'd rather have a new P2000 V2 9mm but it is over $200 more. What to do, what to do, hmm

I picked-up both a Sig P226 and a P229 in very good condition for between $350 to $375. This included two magazines with each.
That's a hellofa deal, LamarW, and for a very useful, quality built gun. I own one of each, with uppers in both .40 & 9mm, and they're as reliable as it's possible to make.

Sig's DA/SA mode of operation is the only drawback some might say, but with good self taught training/practice, it's about as good as it gets. Too, the .40 S&W round, while trashed by many, offers great performance, over a wide spectrum of bullet weights, and the brass is easy to accumulate for reloading. I doubt you could do better, Rod
