Good source for antimonium?

Oftentimes with salvaged lead, you can't really be sure what all is in it and at what proportions. But you can kind of guestimate by how well it casts, what the bullets actually weigh in relation to what they should weigh with a standard alloy, scratch-test them for hardness, and even listen to the sound of them being dropped on a hard surface, and adjust your ingredients for an acceptable outcome. It's what I do all the time and it works well for me.
But if I came into 800 pounds of pure lead, I think I would sell some of it to fund the purchase of some known composition of linotype and get my alloys standardized. Maybe even sell some bullets.

Have any of the people here ever bought salvaged range lead? The times that I obtained it it was a mess, mixed copper and lead, maybe a fourth rimfire, packed full of sawdust, and basically big flat wads about the size of a plate. I broke it into useable pieces, and melted it in lots that I mixed as well as I could, cast it into small nights, and then randomly used everything from that pile of bricks. Not terribly hard, didn't cast that well, either, but it worked pretty well when I just added a pound or two into the pot as I worked with better metals.

Cores aren't meant for casting, and rimfire bullets are far too soft.

Now does linotype contain tin as well?
Yes. 4% of its measured weight is tin.

Pewter is another metal highly prized by many casters. Some pewter poured products like tableware, figurines, picture frames, contain as high as 85 to 98% tin. Tin, if you didn't know promotes the filling of a cavity to its utmost capacity.

That may actually be a pretty good description of the Higgs boson. It certainly remained undetectable for a long time. And it has effects that, in the past, amounted to being mischievous.

The Higgs Boson, String theory? If a cast bullet is traveling at 99.9% the speed of light, what is its age difference compared to the other five that are still in the cylinder?
