The Ruger Mark III is far and away the best of the bunch.

Consider the S&W 617 revolver eventually. Fan freaking tastic gun.

If you want a small .22 pistol I would go with the Ruger SR22P.

In my showcase, I have a used mk ii for 279 and a new mk iii for 275 on clearance. Shoot, we have the stainless mk iii targets for 400, which is below cost. I'd prefer to have the mk ii, but any of them over the Beretta imo. Then, get the Beretta later, as you said.

.22

The Beretta.....had one. Could rarely get through a magazine without an FTF....must have tried a dozen types of ammo.
Was at Camp Perry, last week for the National Pistol Matches; during the .22 stage of the match - last Thursday - the fellow next to me, a US Army SSgt, used a Ruger MK. II, iron sights. He was steady in the high 90's on the short line (25 yards).
Not on your list: A S&W 317 Airlite.....a neat little kit gun. Very light.

If Washington State has no mag capacity limits, get a Calico pistol :)

If it does, go Browning Buckmark...you can't go wrong with a Browning.
Whole lot easier to takedown than a Ruger Mark pistol...

Ruger Mk II on its way. 4.75" thin barrel, used. Very excited to pick it up.

Looked at one today, I have a weakness for those. :) May just have to go back and get it. Have a stainless with the heavy barrel. They are just plain sweet pistols and fun to shoot. Enjoy your new pistol.
