Gone Glock!

I find myself going to more and more Glocks in my handgun collection. Anyone else subject to this same sickness? Anyone gone to all Glocks! Anyone recovered from "Glock Sickness" and gone back to other brands?

I, too, have acquired the "Glock Sickness" recently!

I resisted the affliction, in spite of the fact that I have friends who made me shoot their Glocks BETTER than my other guns! The nerve of them! And they know who they are! :D

I bought a G19 last month and it has somehow become my second most carried pistol. The G19 won't conceal in my front pocket quite as well as my Kel-Tec P32, so...

I bought a G34 last Friday night after a so-called friend of mine (one of those afore mentioned) called to inform me of the prize at a local shop.

Good Grief! I've got to shake this thing. I still have several 1911s to buy! :)

No, I can quit anytime, I am really only a social Glocker.

Now if you want to count 1911's, how much time do you have?

Yeah, no 23. And no 18 either.... :D

I bought a G21 a couple of months ago. I am in love. Am selling my "baby" (Sig P239) and replacing it with a G19 in the next couple of days.

Actually, I am not a collector so I won't be buying up one of each model. It's not ny thing, but I think it's cool if you dig it.

All of my centerfire pistols are either Glocks or Kel-Tecs. :D

I like it that way... :D

I've been "afflicted" w/ this sickness for awhile!

G19
G21
G27
G23

Also plan on adding a G30 very soon!

Hielo has to be one of the worst cases I've ever heard of, I'm jealous.

Owned a Glock 22 for about six weeks. Sold it for a lot of reasons. Yeah, it's sick. Yeah it's possible to get well.

Don't worry Guys, Glock will keep making more. They are like potatoe chips, you really can't eat jsut one.

The good thing I have found is that many of them all fin in the same holsters. I don't know about you, but I tire quickly of the holster dance. I must have 6 or 7 holsters for each of my early guns, easily in the closet are a hundred holster, all of which suck.

I can't say the same thing about my glocks, they all most definately do not suck. Great weapons. Damn, I have to go buy another...

JohnDog - What caused my affliction? Someone trading me a Glock for a Browning....Thats what! By the way how does the Browning shoot for you? I like the G17.

Nothing wrong with collecting Glocks...
If it fits you well and are able to hit with them - then more power to you.
I am collecting 1911s and I can hit very well with any of them.
If your stuck on a pistol that you just cant shoot well - then you need some help. ;)

Tom,

Shot it this weekend, now I can't decide if I like it better than my .40 S&W MKIII! Think I'll keep both <grin>. Still got my toe in the Glock waters with my G26 for CCW though. Life is too short to spend it with just one type of gun - I always say.

Have Fun (Glock on!) - JohnDog

The only ones I haven't had are the 380s and the 10mm, and G18.

Just got rid of most of em to get more SIGs. :)

I have become a serious Glock addict.

It was a slow process I fought for many years.

My first centerfire handgun was a Glock 17 I got in the late 1980's. I shot he heck out of it (still have it).

Years later, after that being my only gun (I learned it VERY well), I was tired of being told that Glocks suck.

So, I started trying out other guns to see why it was that people were telling me that Glocks were second best.

Let's see if I can even begin to remember all the guns I bought and tried.

Hk's - Yep, had them all. Even a VP70z. Two P7 M13's (yes, TWO at over $1500 a pop), and a couple USP's.

Sigs - Tried a variety, 226, 229, 228, 220 and others I forget.

Steyr GB (very nice shooter).

1911's - Colt Gov't, Colt Commander, custom job, Para Ord 14, Springfield, Kimber and others.

A variety of others like KelTecs, Kahr, revolvers, *&*, I can't remember them all.

That is probably only half of them but all I recall offhand over the last many years.

I had settled on carrying a P7M13. Thought it was the tops.

One day, just for a gun to kick around and sweat on, I bought a Glock 19.

That was a big mistake.

My friend says "you know you are just going to end up carrying the Glock". This was coming from a 1911 fan!

He was right.

I ended up falling for the G19. I remembered, (after ten years of trying to find something else), why I loved Glocks so much. I sold most of my other guns that remained, and bought a couple Glock 19's (I just had to have two for some reason ;) ). I found, much to my dismay, that I shoot the Glock 19 BETTER and more acuratly (!) than the HK P7 M13!
I was really distraught, because I thought for sure that the Glock MUST be inferior and less accurate than the $1500+ HK P7M13. No matter how I tried to disprove it, my Glock DOES shoot better. I was mad that I wasted all that money.
The Glock is way less money, rust proof, way lighter, balaced better for carry, less recoil, more capacity, and more accurate in my hands!
I sold most of my guns but a couple I keep for my collection, and I went "all Glock".

Screw everyone else's opinion, I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on every gun under the sun just to follow people's advice that Glocks are inferior. Bullspit. If a Glock works for you, then stick with it. For me, the Glock is THE BEST gun on the market, period. Not "the best for the money" or anything else, but THE BEST. If my life is on the line, and money is no object, I will pass up any other gun costing many times more, and stake my life on a Glock.

On another note, I fully respect other people's choice, but I sure am tired of hearing that Glocks are cheap guns etc, when I have spent a fortune to prove that wrong for myself. FOR ME, and others, Glocks are second to none. For other people, they can use something else if they want to, but Glocks take a second chair to no other gun.

I fell in love with the Glock 30....(I thought about listing all Glocks that I owned, but who cares, I don't want to list them. There are a number of them. Yes, I am an addict). They all shoot great and are totally %100 reliable out of the box. Never broke a part. I reload and I shoot a lot, never a problem in many tens of thousands of rounds of reloads.

I guess you could say I am sold on Glock!

I have had the rest, now I only carry the best.

I owned a G23. Sold it. Used the cash to buy another G23. Traded it for a *&* wheelgun which I traded for (you guessed it) another G23 before I even left the gun show. Sold that to cover some bills. 5 months later bought a G23C. Kept it. Added a G29. Then a G33. Then my special G30 showed up. I'm afraid to open the drawer and see what else has materialized in there.

They're breeding! Help!
