Going off "half-cocked"

What is the worry about covering the muzzle, that's a new one??? I figure than any lint that gets in there will leave in a hurry when the bullet comes out! :D Also, what in the world does that have to do with the topic of this thread? :confused:
 
Redneck2 - You yourself have given the best reason not to leave a 1911 loaded and half-cocked - in the title of this thread. Even though that expression came along long before the 1911 was a glint in JMB's eye, it applies well here.
