GOA, you should be ashamed.

When you make it thorugh "Atlas shrugged", the hardback version of "lucifers hammer", unabridged "the stand", all of shakespears sonnets, "Footfall" and "Earth abides" call me. Yes they are fiction but they are very difficult ot "wrap you mind around" due the complex nature of the plot lines. Atlas shrugged especially.

Wild I hate to say it but i hated Nietztche and thought it a complete waste of time. Freud is a good read though.

V4V Pattons bio is one of my favorites!

How did you get those $50 games when you were just 13?

What in the world? Does nobody let their kids mow lawns to earn pocket money anymore? Or babysit, or pull weeds, or feed the neighbor's pets, or buck hay?

My pre-teens and young teenagers have more spending money than I do. And no, they don't get allowances. Allowances are for rich kids.

Pax the point was he saw a problem with 11 y/o being able to get the games, but it was fine when he did the very same thing at 13.

I still wonder if I should stop poking people in the eyes and slapping people's faces. Growing up watching the 3 stooges has ruined me.No good can come from it. Remember, all of what we see on TV is reenacted in our daily lives.

majic, the point is that if a 11 year old has enough money to buy a game when it is a new release*, then clearly the parents are at fault for not watching their kids.

Parents need to be parents. Period. Don't go blaming the industry for the faults of parents.

*Which means it's automaticly $50 or more.
