Glocks without Gen #

Glock 22 can be Gen 1. It has no rail attachment or grooves on the front. Early 22's have an unsupported chamber, hence all the internet "kaboom" stories.

Very unlikely as the Gen2's came out in 1988......and Glock didn't start making .40's until 1990.

BTW....Gen2's don't have rails or finger grooves either.;)
 
Gen 4's were the first series to run simultaneously with the earlier series. They also had an up-charge. To help differentiate, they marked them as Gen 4's to help support the sales of the more expensive new pistols.
