Glock parts recomendation?

I doubt that.

"The hand guns I carry in cond 1 all start in the DA mode."

For this sentence to make any sense you're saying that you start with a decocked (DA mode) CZ-75 or USP, then you cock them and apply the safety (cond 1).

Is that what you meant?

That sentence wouldn't apply to a 1911, since that doesn't have a DA mode. Nor would it apply to something like a Glock that is usually carried cond 2, striker/hammer at rest and has no safety to be put in cond 1 with. Nor could this apply to a Sig, which has a DA mode and can be cocked, but no safety for cond 1. Please clear it up for us dummies.

You couldn't answer and refuse to answer the question because it would expose your lack of knowledge on basic firearms terminology. Your sarcasm does little to cover that.

Some people have the "Daddy's always right" mentality (Daddy being the millitary or agency they work for) driven into them so hard your just wasting breath and keystrokes trying to deal with them. You've got your old coots who think the Garand is the perfect modern day urban weapon because somebody told them so 50 years ago, older coots who think the 1903 is the perfect rifle and semi-autos are just a waste of ammo, middle age coots who like the M-16, but consider optics on a combat rifle to be a fragile joke, and young coots who have a currently issued M-4 with optics who worship at Stoners feet.

No Goverment agency I know of issues Spegal custom grips, Kramer Leather, or Heinie sights on thier guns. Yet real shooters may recognize these parts or accesories as significant improvements over "factory" or "issued" materials for themselves.

Personally I like the +-4# pull on my Glock with the 3.5 connector, but as we can't even seem to get the National Guard to stop shooting themselves in the butt with a Beretta that has a safety AND a 12# trigger pull I can certainly see why the modified Glock might be a poor issued arm to such a group. Doesn't mean it isn't right for me or you.

When someone claims a 4# trigger is unsafe but a 5.5# trigger is perfect and you should never adjust any gun to your own likes and taste because you don't know more than the designer or Uncle Sam just know realize what your dealing with and move on...

When departments issue firearms they have to consider the abilities of a large and somewhat diverse group of people. Its sort of a weak link principle; if out of 50 police officers theres one who would panic and **** things up then they usualy chose a gun that is safe for officer ****up. Im not a cop but I have seen this in many situations. Sad to say but during my time in the army I saw alot of training that was dumbed down to acomodate these week link individuals. In the case of personal firearms you know exactly what your abilities are and can choose acordingly. True some people have never been in a dangerouse situation before. I personaly have been in situations where I thought I was going to have to use deadly force (and luckily was wrong) so I have a good idea how I would react under the stress of an armed confrontation.

ps I didnt mean for this thread to be so damn long. Sorry guys.
