Glock night sights.

HD's are my fave too. Other than that, the Heinie's are good, especially if you can get the QWIK sight picture. It's still a squared notch, but a nice wide notch in the back with a nice thin blade up front. Lots of air for fast acquisition. You put a dot of fluorescent lure paint on the front to make it stand out like the HD does. That's how Todd Green runs his sights. Same 90 degree angle on the rear for easy manipulation.

You said you were gonna text me earlier, but I didn't get it. What's up?

Call me crazy, as I currently (and only temporarily) don't own any Glocks, but the sights I'd like to try out on my next one are the "Diamond" Speed Sights. They remind me A LOT of the trap sights on my Steyr, which I love for rapid target acquisition.

Just from pictures, I'm kinda liking the look of Ameriglo ProGlo Front with stock rear - third pic down here - http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_5_13/9...Review_for_Glock_pistols.html&page=8#i1517707

Can just get the front sight here - http://www.opticsplanet.com/ameriglo-proglo-style-night-sights-front-sights-only-for-glocks.html

Kinda leaning towards the lime green circle.

What tools would I need to change out the stock front with this one?

Looks like I would neat a special front site tool and blue loctite - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8rtJfdle0Jk

I don't have what it takes (skilz or equipment) to do the rear sight.

Try something different. Go with whatever front site you choose but get a ghost ring for the rear sight and see what you think. Did that with one of my 19's and was surprised at how quick you can line up and get your shot.

Thanks everyone. I did the unimaginable. I got another set of Trijicon HD's.

Took a pic and tapatalk won't let me upload it.

Blah, anyways. Sorry for the askhole moment. Didn't get anything solid. So I just stuck to what I know.

Thanks though everyone!

A few times times I've gotten something other than HDs.
The alternatives have ranged from really good (xs), to really bad (truglo), but I always wind up coming back to the trijicons.

Nobody ever seems to mention Tactical Advantage's v-sights--I think they are great especially for tired old eyes with focusing problems. The front pyramid is actually bigger than my crappy cell phone picture shows. With practice it can be both a quick-acquire as well as precision system.

I remember those! Over here we call them pyramid sights. There's a police officer who tried turning me onto those. I don't know why they never caught on or why I never tried them to be honest.

I have Tru Glo sights on my G26 and I like them a lot.
That is what the sights look like in the dark.

I put those TruGlo sights on my fiances Glock 17. I'm not a fan though. Especially with the smoothness of them. But I have to admit they're extremely bright.

Conny...how do you like the Dot on Dot tritium types. I've used the Sig 3-dot tritiums for years, but think that the simplicity of the Dot over Dot system might be a better, quicker arrangement. What say you...Rod

I have XS sights on my Glock 42 as my major SHTF scenario (BUG) and I wouldn't feel comfortable taking a shot past 7 yards. Now it is excessive in comparison against, say an older fashioned Sig. With the dot up front and the line on the back sight. Those I don't mind at all. But I like the option of taking a precise shot if need be with my 3 dot. I mainly focus on the front sight in the day time where there is enough light to hone in on that cyan green florescent front sight.

Nothing beats a U-notch and post.

As for quicker dot the i or lollipop sights, yes. They're faster up close. 7 or 10 yards max. But aim big, miss big. Aim small, miss small. I don't like having any handicaps especially if I don't need to. I love all the odds in my favor. Even if it's a fraction of a second.

Another vote for Ameriglo I dot pro's My favorite sight at a fair price.
I run the orange front on my 19 and they work great for IDPA.
Also look at he Ameriglo hackathorne bright front black rear,I run these on my XDS 4.0 and Shield.

+1 Snyper

And iblong, if they work for you then more power to you!

Wanted to ask you guys, since I'm here on the topic of sight.. I have a Sig P229 Elite Dark, with the "combat sights" the adjustable ones with the Siglite night sights in them. I would like to change those out to Trijicon HD's as I have them on my P226 as well. I hear the cut is different on the Elite Dark and I won't be able to use anything after market other than a rear sight from Gray Guns. Which, unfortunately doesn't have a nice 90 degree ledge or even tritium. Any ideas?

Tapatalk, once again won't let me upload the pics I want.

Google 2010 Elite Dark.

I have Tru Glo sights on my G26 and I like them a lot.

Are those the combo Tritium/Fiber Optics?

If so , how do they look in daylight?
