I got a new 29 early this year with the finger grooves and like it a lot.
I also came across someone with an older 20 that still had the copper lube on it, yes I know it could have been reapplied. It looked pretty unused, and all the mags, 15 rounders , had the stickers on them still. No finger grooves on it and I like it a lot.
I researched the delta elite and if I found one at a nice price I might get one. But for now I am slowly researching the 1911 stuff in 10mm like the dan wesson link and others. I prefer a new gun basically.
There is a big difference to me on glocks with and without the grooves. I also have a 22 without finger grooves and like it better than other fullsize guns with the grooves.
There is hogue for the rubber grip, I think there may also be A-grip or something as well. Most of these applied over the glocks with finger grooves simply make the groove part larger. If you wanted to get rid of the grooves, you could make a rubber block or something and wrap the grip yourself to go back to no grooves, but that would be huge.
On the warranty I would suspect any damage done to the lower for whatever reason may not be covered as it was weakened and altered by removing material. The rest of the gun I would expect to be covered. The nice thing about glocks is short of a major malfunction the parts are cheap and easy to replace.
If I could only find a new 20, I might remove the grooves myself and add a grip for the older square models like what I have. I have no rubber grips right now but will likely get one to try soon.
For ejecting the magazine I just use my trigger finger, I shoot left handed mostly. When shooting right handed I use my thumb but need to roll my hand a little to get to the eject button. Left handed I keep my grip just move my index finger.
The 10mm is awesome, and I do not have a problem with the glock triggers. I may put a smooth one on my 29 though as the serrated ones get annoying after a while.
But there are also the delta elites, witness, smith and wesson has a revolver in 10mm, and some others as well.
Oh and save your brass. Even if you do not reload, you might later.
