Ok I need some help my gun shop told me they have a ABUN878 glock19 for sale for $586.00 he said it's a collectors addition only 500 were made did anyone here of this Glock and should I buy it I did not see the gun yet this was all by phone call. Thank you for the help

I think that my 1st generation glock 17 will be a collectors gun some day.:)

But what do I know. I owned more than 25 Volkswagens in my time, and never thought they would be so collectable that I can't afford one now!LOL:eek:

I don't see glock as much of a collectable, sure there are thousands of guys out there that own 30 of them but I doubt that's out of any expectation of appreciated value. I think I'll call B.S. if it truly was as rare as the guy claims, then it would be selling for more than standard retail.

He is talking about the battle worn nickel boron Glock 19s made Legal Manufacturing. If he is selling to you at $589 that is a great price for the gun. Most of these are going for around $650-$700. It is hard to get a standard Glock 19 Gen4 for under $500. Gen 3 guns will cost you $500. Nickel Boron guns go for $550-$600. So the battle worn gun with the relief cuts at $589 is a great price. IMHO. Now you have to like the look of it which I don't but if its your thing buy it.

It will have some novelty value but not real "collector" value IMHO. My understanding is that they will continue to make them as long as there is demand.

LOL, a new "Battleworn" glock is like a pair of new Levi's that they threw into the wash a few times with beach and some rocks thrown into the mix so they look like they've been worn many years.
That looks like a "Calvin Klein" glock!

Nothing like my 2nd generation glock 19 which has the tennifer worn down to the steel on the slide, and the beaver tail so used that it is now smooth and glossy from all the wear. When your gun gets to this point, it's nice, because you no longer have to worry about scratching that new finish!

Every ding, mark, is a now part of the patina.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE show me where you find G19s for under $500. $550+ everywhere I look - local and online.

Thanks!

How much do you pay for transfers? Brownells had the G19 for $499 with a $25 gift card and there was a $30 of $250 & free shipping coupon IIRC. They have run this special before. I would guess they will run it again before Christmas.

Depending on what you pay for transfers, I pay $15-$20 and not sales tax, you can get a Glock 19 to your FFLs door for $479 + Brownells $10 FFL fee + transfer. So for me $504 plus $25 to spend at Brownells.

I believe if you request a price match you can get a battle worn one for $499 + shipping and transfer from Buds. https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/411556468

If price is higher, try submitting a price match request if available - In the "Who are we matching?" field write Slickguns.com - The Glock 19 Gen3 9mm 4".

$25 here for transfers - $20 to the FFL, $5 to the state (FL uses their own NICS system)

I believe that $495 is MAP for Gen 3's, so you should be able to find them for sub-$500, pre-tax of course, as long as you have a shop in your area that is at least somewhat reasonable. Also, slickguns currently lists 10 different retailers under $500 before shipping and transfer. I didn't do the math on all of them, but Whittaker Guns has them for $460 plus $13 shipping which would come out to just under $500 total for you.

I live in KY and they are 3 hours from me but still come out under $500 not including the gas!

Honesty G19s are best bought used. I paid $400 for my last one LNIB local!

Hmm. OK. Interesting. I like worn looking guns, but I prefer to have them get there through actual use. (And if I was going to have some custom appearance work done, it probably wouldn't e done on a G-19.)

A diy holster made from Scotch Brite pads can do wonders for a well worn look while just inserting and removing a gun until the desired effect is achieved.

I like those arrow shaped cutouts on top of the slide. Is that to show which way the bullets go. LOL.

Sorry Glock fans. I couldn't resist.

I just paid $549.00 for a new Gen3 G-19 at a Cabela's here in the suburbs of Denver, CO. Colorado has a 15rd. mag cap limit law, but every Gen3 G-19 boxed set the store had in stock had 10 round mags, which is why these were sitting on the shelf. So I had to order a Gen3 19 boxed set with the 15 round mags and it took two weeks to get shipped to the store. Lesson learned, I should I kept the one I traded off a few years back!
