Glock 19 substitute

Do you like the size of the 19 or are you looking for something smaller? There are tons of single and double stack options out there for carry. Personally the G19 is way to big for me to carry so that is why I ask.

The S&W M&P9c is the same size as the Glock 19 and is available with a thumb safety. It's capacity is 12+1, but can accept full size 17 round magazines as well.

If someone else complains about Spats' warning, they will get a vacation. If you disagree, take it to a PM with the staff.

More complaining has been deleted.

While I don't think the Glock pistol is inherently unsafe, I am of the opinion that they can be "unforgiving". I would suggest looking at a used Smith & Wesson Model 6906. Third Generation Smiths can still be found at affordable prices and are a great value in terms of being a well-made, durable, reasonably accurate and ultra-reliable pistols.

Walther.

Don't have to go hammer fired to get a DA/SA trigger.

P99 or P99c give you a striker fired with 3 modes to start the first trigger pull in thanks to a decocker (so DA or single action) and Anti Stress which the full length of the double action pull but with the single action pull weight.

The Sig P250c or sc is a good option. The grip is real comfy and the long trigger is the added safety for carry. I carry one in 40sw and I trust it.

Since the OP has gone wheel gun (which guarantees that there will never be an ND - never happened in all of gun history -:D), this is closed.
